I am enthusiastic to return to Semmes Elementary School this year as the library media specialist. I attended Mobile County Public Schools growing up and graduated from Shaw High School. My family loves the Semmes community and schools so much we moved here in 2010.
I obtained a Masters of Education in Educational Media from the University of South Alabama in 2015, and became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2019. My vision of the library is to create a welcoming environment where the school community will collaborate and work together to teach 21st century skills, instill a love of reading, provide resources, and enable access to digital resources.
